Styrene-butadiene rubber is the most commonly used rubber compound. The process properties of styrene-butadiene rubber, such as mixing and calendering, and vulcanization, are better. The appearance quality is better than that of ethylene-propylene and neoprene. There are also fewer appearance defects than ethylene propylene rubber and neoprene.
2, ethylene propylene rubber
Ethylene-propylene rubber is used as a heat-resistant tape for heat-resistant cover rubber, and its heat resistance is better. Therefore, it is an ideal material for the heat-resistant belt. In general, the EPDM rubber can be used for a long time in an environment of 150 ° C, and the EPDM rubber has poor process performance. The coverage of the adhesive is poor. When the sheet is over 4mm, the surface roughness is not smooth enough. Therefore, the appearance of the tape is like alum, and the edge is more than the styrene-butadiene rubber. The rubber is suitable for the T3 conveyor belt.
Neoprene heat resistance is inferior to styrene-butadiene rubber and ethylene-propylene rubber, but it has good acid resistance. It requires acid-resistant and heat-resistant conveyor belts in the chemical industry. It is not high in heat resistance and is below 100 °C. The acid resistance performance is very high. The conveyor belt of the phosphate fertilizer industry is resistant to sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid produced during the reaction. Under this working condition, we choose neoprene as the T1 heat-resistant belt. The technical performance of neoprene is different from that of styrene-butadiene rubber and ethylene-propylene rubber. Due to the high thermal viscosity, the roller is often stuck when the film is released, and the shrinkage is large when the tablet is pressed. When vulcanized, it is easy to adhere to the hot plate to cause a gas, which is easy to produce alum. Bubbles and cracks, repair is not easy to stick, special measures should be taken for the appearance quality to ensure that the tape surface is smooth and less defects.
Second, heat-resistant conveyor belt with core material
The influence of the variety of heat-resistant belt core materials on the appearance quality The heat-resistant conveyor belt core materials are different, and the appearance of the heat-resistant belts produced is also different. The causes of appearance defects for different kinds of fabric core materials are different. Three materials are now commonly used: polyester cotton, nylon cloth and EP cloth.
1, polyester cotton canvas
The production of heat-resistant tapes with pure cotton canvas has become a history, because the price of pure cotton cloth is too high, and the blended fabric blended with polyester fiber is much cheaper and has better heat resistance than pure cotton cloth. The use of polyester-cotton canvas to produce heat-resistant belts is currently widely used in many enterprises. The belts produced by the belts are dimensionally stable, have a good appearance, do not produce longitudinal water ripples, and are difficult to remove grooves and cracks at the edges. The disadvantage is that the adhesion between the layers is low and the flex resistance is poor.
2, EP canvas
The warp direction is the polyester weft. The nylon interlaced canvas is EP canvas. It is strong and has better heat resistance than polyester cotton cloth, especially rubber and cloth. The adhesion between cloth and cloth is much higher than that of polyester cotton. Durable than polyester cotton in harsh environments. However, shrinkage occurs during vulcanization, and if the process is not noticed, the appearance may also cause defects.
3, nylon canvas
Strong and resistant to flexing, but the heat resistance is not comparable to the above two kinds of canvas. We use it to produce heat-resistant and acid-resistant conveyor belts, which have its advantages, but the appearance is prone to longitudinal water ripples and alum, gullies and rips. .
