What are the common joint methods for different types of extension conveyor belts?

Therefore, it is in line with the concept of environmental protection after selecting the joint to continue to use. For different types of conveyor belts, the method chosen for the joint operation is different.

1, the method of the joint

     Conveyor joints include mechanical joints, cold bonded joints, and hot vulcanized joints.

    ①mechanical joint: generally refers to the use of belt buckle joints, this joint method is convenient and fast, but also economical, but the joint efficiency is low, easy to damage, has a certain impact on the service life of conveyor belt products. In the PVC and PVG whole core flame-retardant antistatic conveyor belt joints, the product is generally used in products with a class of 8 or less.

    ②cold bonded joints: that is, the joint is made with a cold adhesive. This joint method is more efficient and mechanical than the mechanical joint, and should have a better joint effect, but from the practical point of view, because the process conditions are relatively difficult to master, the quality of the adhesive has a great influence on the joint. So it is not very stable.

    ③hot vulcanized joint: It has proved to be the most ideal joint method, which can ensure high joint efficiency, and is also very stable. The joint life is also very long and easy to grasp. However, there are disadvantages such as troublesome process, high cost, and long joint operation time.

2, the joint of the layered conveyor belt

    Joint methods such as mechanical joints, cold bonded joints, and hot vulcanized joints can be used as needed. Generally, the cold bonded joint and the hot vulcanized joint adopt a stepped structural joint.

3. Joints of PVC and PVG whole core flame retardant conveyor belts

    Because the structure of the whole core belt is special, the joint is not easy, so most of them use the mechanical joint method, that is, the belt buckle joint. However, in order to ensure the joint effect, the belt of grade 8 or above is generally a hot vulcanized joint. The structure of the joint is a finger joint. The hot vulcanization joint process of PVC and PVG whole core flame retardant conveyor belt is more complicated, and the requirements for equipment are relatively high.

4, the wire rope conveyor belt connector

    The joint of the steel cord conveyor belt is the most complicated of all conveyor belt joint technology, not only the process is more complicated, but also the joint size parameters are designed the most.
