What should you pay attention to when the conveyor belt extends its life?

Apr 28, 2019

First of all, let's talk about the use of conveyor belt extension:

Prevent the conveyor belt from starting;

If the conveyor belt runs off, it should take timely measures to correct it;

When it is found that the conveyor belt is partially damaged, the artificial cotton should be repaired in time to avoid expansion;

Avoid belts that are blocked by racks, struts or block materials to prevent breakage.

Influencing factors of conveyor belt strength The strength check of the conveyor belt in the design is generally based on the maximum static tension during operation, in the form of selecting the safety factor, and then accounting for other factors. The main factors affecting the strength of the conveyor belt are as follows.

The static tension static tension is the tension of the conveyor belt. When the inside of the conveyor belt is the same-sex tension, the tensile stress caused by the static tension is evenly distributed on the cross section of the conveyor belt. As the conveyor belt runs, alternating tensile stress will occur. It is the basis for choosing strong.

The starting and braking process of the dynamic tension conveyor is a very unstable process, and the velocity, acceleration, tension and disturbance of each particle have dynamic characteristics, which is a function of time. This dynamic feature is less obvious for small conveyors, but it has a large impact on large conveyors. The dynamic tension generated by such unstable conditions may exceed the static tension and sometimes even reach the static tension. Several times. When an emergency brake occurs, the consequences will be very serious, which will easily lead to insufficient strength of the conveyor belt and cause a broken belt. However, after using the soft starter, the dynamic tension can be reduced to less than 30% of the static tension.

Additional stresses on the additional stress conveyor belt include bending stresses that bypass the rollers, additional stresses through the transition segments, curved segments in the vertical plane, and additional stresses created by the horizontally curved segments. In the engineering design, these additional stresses can be greatly reduced by accurately selecting the diameter of the drum, the spacing and shape of the transition rollers, and the radius of the curved section of the conveyor belt. In addition, when the drive roller causes a change in radius due to manufacturing errors or bonding of coal powder, it also causes redistribution of the stress of the conveyor belt.
